Rhaphidophora elliptica 'Mint' is an exceptionally rare climbing aroid prized for its beautifully marbled mint-green and creamy white variegation. Each elongated, glossy leaf is uniquely patterned with delicate speckling and marbling, giving every plant its own individual appearance. As it matures and climbs, the foliage becomes larger and more dramatic, making it a spectacular specimen for collectors.
Native to the tropical rainforests of Southeast Asia, this sought-after cultivar thrives when grown up a moss pole or support, where it can produce increasingly impressive foliage. Rhaphidophora Care Sheet
Light: Bright, indirect light is essential to maintain strong variegation. Avoid prolonged direct sun, which can scorch the leaves.
Water: Water thoroughly when the top few centimetres of compost begin to dry. Never allow the plant to sit in water.
Soil/Nutrition: Grow in a chunky, free-draining aroid mix containing bark, perlite and coco coir. Feed monthly during spring and summer.
Humidity: Prefers humidity above 60%. Excellent for plant cabinets or warm, humid rooms. A moss pole encourages larger, more mature foliage.
Pruning and propagation: Trim long stems to maintain shape or propagate easily from stem cuttings with at least one node.
