Pyrus 'Chanticleer' is a highly decorative ornamental pear renowned for its early spring blossom and strong upright form. In March and April, the tree bursts into masses of pure white flowers that attract pollinators and create a striking seasonal display. Glossy, fresh green leaves follow, remaining clean and healthy throughout the summer before turning brilliant shades of orange, red, and purple in autumn.
Naturally columnar and well-behaved, ‘Chanticleer’ is one of the best ornamental trees for urban gardens, driveways, or streetside planting. It is pollution-tolerant, wind-resistant, and holds its foliage later into autumn than many other trees. Hardy, reliable, and low-maintenance, it provides excellent structure and year-round interest.
