Pyrus salicifolia 'Pendula'

Pyrus salicifolia 'Pendula', also known as the Weeping Pear, is a small, elegant deciduous tree with a graceful, pendulous habit. Its slender, silvery-grey leaves provide soft texture and colour throughout the growing season, creating a striking contrast in borders, lawns, or courtyard gardens.

In spring, clusters of creamy-white flowers appear, attracting bees and other pollinators. These are sometimes followed by small, inedible green fruits that add extra seasonal interest. In autumn, the foliage turns soft yellow before falling. Hardy and low maintenance, it is an excellent choice for adding structure and elegance to smaller gardens or as a specimen tree in larger landscapes.

  • Occasional small green fruits in summer
  • Soft yellow autumn foliage colour
  • Hardy, low maintenance and elegant specimen tree
  • RHS Award of Garden Merit (AGM)
