Prunus incisa 'The Bride'

Prunus incisa 'The Bride' is a compact, deciduous ornamental cherry prized for its abundant spring blossom and neat habit. From March to April, it bursts into bloom with masses of large, single white flowers, each lightly flushed with pink at the base. The petals open wide, creating a spectacular bridal-like display that smothers the bare branches. Its early nectar-rich flowers attract bees and pollinators, providing a valuable food source at the start of spring.

As the seasons progress, slender, toothed green leaves appear, turning fiery shades of red and orange in autumn before falling. With its small size and rounded shape, ‘The Bride’ is perfect for smaller gardens, courtyards, and containers, or as a feature tree in mixed borders. Hardy and low-maintenance, it provides year-round interest with spring blossom, summer greenery, and autumn colour. Holder of the RHS Award of Garden Merit.
