Prunus 'Kursar'

Prunus 'Kursar' is a beautiful small deciduous tree valued for its abundant display of vivid deep pink, single flowers in early spring. The blossom appears along the branches before many other flowering cherries come into bloom, creating a striking burst of colour in March and April.

Young leaves emerge with attractive reddish-bronze tones before maturing to fresh green through summer. In autumn, the foliage develops rich shades of orange, red and gold, giving 'Kursar' a second impressive season of colour.

With its compact, spreading habit, 'Kursar' is particularly well suited to smaller gardens, lawns and mixed borders where it makes an excellent specimen tree. Grow in full sun in moist but well-drained soil for the best flowering and autumn colour.
