Penstemon Pensham 'Czar'
Penstemon Pensham 'Czar' is a striking, long-flowering perennial producing elegant spires of rich plum-purple tubular flowers with brilliant white throats. The bold contrast and upright form create a dramatic display above fresh green foliage.
Flowering from June to October, 'Czar' provides months of reliable colour from early summer into autumn. Its nectar-rich blooms are highly attractive to bees and other pollinating insects, making it a valuable addition to wildlife-friendly planting schemes.
Forming a bushy, upright plant, this easy-to-grow variety is ideal for mixed borders, beds and patio containers. It thrives in full sun or partial shade and performs best in fertile, well-drained soil, with regular deadheading encouraging further flowers.
