Pennisetum alopecuroides 'Hameln'
Fountain Grass 'Hameln' is a graceful, clump-forming ornamental grass with long, slender green foliage that creates a soft, architectural effect in the garden. Its neat, rounded habit makes it an attractive choice for both contemporary and naturalistic planting schemes.
From summer into autumn, upright stems carry elegant, bottlebrush-like flowerheads with soft purple-brown tones, adding height, texture and movement above the foliage. The seed heads remain attractive as they mature, extending the season of interest.
Easy to grow and low maintenance, 'Hameln' is ideal for sunny borders, gravel gardens and large patio containers. It performs best in fertile, well-drained soil and works particularly well when planted in groups or repeated through a border.
