Monstera adansonii
Monstera adansonii is a striking tropical houseplant with large, heart-shaped green leaves featuring distinctive oblong fenestrations. As the plant matures, these characteristic holes become increasingly prominent, giving the foliage its unmistakable Swiss cheese appearance. Its lush leaves and climbing or trailing growth habit create plenty of texture and tropical character indoors.
Ideal for bright rooms with indirect light, Monstera adansonii can be allowed to trail from a shelf or hanging pot, or trained up a moss pole or support for a taller, more dramatic display. Its generous foliage also makes it an excellent air purifying plant and a versatile choice for living rooms, bedrooms or offices.

Monstera Care Sheet
Light: Bright, indirect light is ideal. Avoid strong direct sunlight which can scorch the foliage, although the plant will tolerate slightly lower light levels.
Water: Water when the top few centimetres of compost feel dry. Water thoroughly and allow excess water to drain away before returning the plant to its decorative pot.
Soil/Nutrition: Use a free-draining houseplant or aroid compost. Feed every 4-6 weeks during spring and summer with a balanced liquid houseplant fertiliser.
Humidity: Average household humidity is suitable, although slightly higher humidity will encourage healthy growth and larger foliage.
Pruning and propagation: Trim long or untidy stems as required and provide a moss pole or support if you want the plant to climb. Easily propagated from stem cuttings containing at least one node.
