Lythrum salicaria 'Robert'
Lythrum salicaria 'Robert' is a compact selection of Purple Loosestrife producing upright spikes of rich pink-purple flowers above vibrant, lance-shaped green foliage. Its strong vertical habit adds height, colour and structure without becoming overly dominant.
Flowering from July to September, this long-blooming perennial provides valuable summer interest and is highly attractive to bees, butterflies and other pollinating insects. The densely packed flower spikes make it especially effective in wildlife-friendly and naturalistic planting schemes.
Best grown in full sun or partial shade in consistently moist soil, 'Robert' is ideal for pond edges, bog gardens, rain gardens and damp borders. Its compact habit also makes it suitable for smaller gardens where moisture-loving plants are required.
