Leycesteria formosa 'Little Lanterns'
Leycesteria 'Little Lanterns' is a compact deciduous shrub with bright yellow-green foliage that brings fresh colour and contrast to garden planting. Its neat, bushy habit makes it especially suitable for smaller spaces and container displays.
From July to September, long hanging clusters of white flowers appear beneath rich pink bracts, creating an elegant lantern-like effect. The nectar-rich blooms are attractive to bees, butterflies and other pollinating insects.
Deep purple, almost black ornamental berries follow in autumn, extending the season of interest. Easy to grow, 'Little Lanterns' is ideal for borders, mass planting, mixed containers or as a feature plant on a patio, terrace or balcony.
