Leucojum aestivum 'Gravetye Giant'
Leucojum aestivum 'Gravetye Giant' is a striking and robust spring-flowering bulb, often likened to an oversized snowdrop. This impressive variety produces clumps of fresh green, strap-like foliage topped with large, nodding white bell-shaped flowers, each delicately marked with green tips.
Flowering in early to mid spring, it provides valuable colour as winter fades and is particularly well suited to naturalistic planting schemes. Unlike many spring bulbs, ‘Gravetye Giant’ thrives in damp conditions, making it an excellent choice for bog gardens, pond margins and moisture-retentive borders, where it will slowly spread if left undisturbed.
