Lavandula 'Munstead' is a compact and aromatic evergreen shrub prized for its masses of fragrant violet-blue flower spikes that appear from early to mid-summer. Its narrow, silvery-green foliage provides year-round texture, while the blooms attract bees, butterflies, and other pollinators. One of the most reliable classic English lavenders, it is perfect for low hedges, borders, and containers.
Hardy and sun-loving, ‘Munstead’ thrives in well-drained soil and performs best in full sun. It is drought-tolerant once established and ideal for Mediterranean-style gardens or cottage borders. Regular light pruning after flowering helps maintain its neat, bushy shape and encourages new growth. Holder of the RHS Award of Garden Merit for outstanding garden performance.
