Kalanchoe thyrsiflora
Kalanchoe thyrsiflora is a striking succulent with broad, paddle-shaped leaves arranged in a flat rosette. The leaves are pale green to silvery grey, often flushed with deep red along the edges when exposed to bright light, earning it the nickname “Paddle Plant” or “Flapjack.”
This architectural succulent adds bold form and colour contrast to indoor and patio displays. It thrives in bright light and dry conditions, requiring very little maintenance, making it perfect for modern interiors or sun-drenched windowsills.

Kalanchoe Care Sheet
Light: Requires bright light with several hours of direct sun to maintain red leaf edges.
Water: Water sparingly, allowing the soil to dry completely between waterings. Reduce in winter.
Soil/Nutrition: Use a free-draining cactus or succulent mix. Feed every 6–8 weeks during spring and summer with diluted fertiliser.
Humidity: Prefers low humidity and good airflow; avoid misting.
Pruning & Propagation: Remove old lower leaves as they age. Propagates easily from leaf or stem cuttings.
