Iris germanica 'Orange Chariot'
Iris germanica 'Orange Chariot' is a striking Tall Bearded Iris producing elegant flowers in warm shades of pale apricot and soft orange, beautifully accented by vivid tangerine beards. Flowering from late spring into early summer, the blooms rise above upright sword-like foliage, adding bold colour and architectural interest to sunny borders.
This hardy perennial thrives in well-drained soil and sunny positions, where it will return reliably each year with minimal maintenance. Drought tolerant once established, it is ideal for cottage gardens, gravel planting, and mixed perennial borders. Rhizomes can also be divided every few years to create new plants and maintain vigour.
