Hibiscus syriacus 'Hamabo'
Hibiscus syriacus 'Hamabo' is a beautiful deciduous shrub producing elegant single, cup-shaped flowers in soft blush pink, each marked with a striking deep red eye. Flowering from mid to late summer and often continuing into autumn, it provides valuable late-season colour when many other shrubs have finished blooming.
With its bushy, upright habit and fresh green foliage, 'Hamabo' is an excellent choice for sunny borders, mixed shrub plantings and cottage gardens. The leaves are shed in autumn before fresh growth emerges the following spring. Its nectar-rich flowers are attractive to butterflies and other pollinators.
