Helleborus argutifolius 'Silver Lace'
Helleborus argutifolius 'Silver Lace' is a distinctive evergreen perennial prized for its leathery, silver-grey foliage, patterned with a network of green veins. The sharply toothed leaf edges add texture, while its upright, clump-forming habit creates an architectural presence throughout the year.
From February to April, sturdy stems carry clusters of cup-shaped, pale apple-green flowers that complement the silvery foliage. These early blooms attract bees and other pollinators, bringing valuable seasonal interest to mixed borders, woodland edges and patio containers.
Hardy and easy to grow, 'Silver Lace' thrives in full sun or partial shade with fertile, moist but well-drained soil, preferably neutral to alkaline. Choose a position sheltered from cold winds. Remove spent flowering stems after blooming to encourage fresh growth and maintain a tidy appearance.
