Hedera helix 'Tamara'
Hedera helix 'Tamara' is an attractive evergreen ivy with small, lobed leaves featuring deep green centres and creamy-white margins. Its crisp variegation brings brightness and texture to shaded planting, while the glossy foliage provides reliable colour throughout the year.
Its self-clinging stems can climb walls, fences and pergolas or spread as groundcover beneath shrubs. Smaller pot sizes are particularly useful for hanging baskets, window boxes and mixed containers, where the trailing stems soften edges and complement seasonal flowers.
Hardy and easy to grow, 'Tamara' performs well in sun or shade in fertile, moist but well-drained soil. Water container plants regularly during dry spells and trim longer shoots as needed to encourage neat, bushy growth and keep the plant within its allotted space.
