Hamamelis x intermedia 'Arnold Promise'
Hamamelis ‘Arnold Promise’ is a striking winter-flowering shrub that brings radiant colour and fragrance to the garden when few other plants are in bloom. In late winter to early spring (typically February–March), its bare branches are adorned with clusters of clear, lemon-yellow, ribboned flowers emerging from reddish calyx cups. The blooms are fragrant, adding an extra sensory dimension to the winter garden.
Through the warmer seasons, the plant carries green foliage which in autumn transforms into shades of yellow, orange, and red, giving a second seasonal show. Its open-habit, broadly spreading and vase-shaped form makes it an elegant specimen in shrub borders, woodland gardens, or as a standalone feature.
