Gaultheria procumbens 'Ciao Bella White'
Gaultheria 'Ciao Bella White' is a compact evergreen shrub grown for its glossy dark green foliage and distinctive white berries. The rounded fruits appear from autumn and persist well into winter, creating an attractive display during the colder months.
Small, bell-shaped flowers appear before the berries develop, while the neat, low-growing habit provides useful year-round structure. 'Ciao Bella White' is particularly effective in autumn and winter containers, window boxes, border edges and seasonal planting displays.
Easy to grow in the right conditions, 'Ciao Bella White' performs best in partial shade in moist but well-drained, acidic soil. Its compact growth also makes it an excellent companion for other acid-loving plants such as skimmias, heathers and dwarf rhododendrons.
