Festuca glauca 'Elijah Blue'
Festuca glauca 'Elijah Blue' is a compact evergreen ornamental grass forming neat, rounded clumps of fine, intensely blue foliage. Its slender, needle-like leaves provide year-round colour and create a striking contrast against green foliage, flowers and pale gravel.
From late spring into summer, narrow blue-green flower plumes rise above the foliage before gradually fading to golden brown. These delicate stems add extra height, texture and movement while maintaining the plant's tidy architectural appearance.
Best grown in full sun in well-drained soil, 'Elijah Blue' is ideal for rockeries, gravel gardens, border edges and patio containers. Hardy, drought tolerant once established and easy to maintain, it is particularly effective when planted in repeated groups.
