Erica × veitchii 'Gold Tips'
Erica × veitchii 'Gold Tips' is a distinctive evergreen heath producing masses of creamy white tubular flowers through winter and into early spring. The blooms brighten the garden during the colder months, while the finely textured foliage provides year-round interest.
Its needle-like leaves are tipped with golden-yellow, creating an attractive contrast that becomes especially noticeable outside the main flowering season. The compact, bushy habit makes 'Gold Tips' ideal for borders, rock gardens, heather beds and containers.
Hardy, reliable and low maintenance, 'Gold Tips' performs best in a sunny position in well-drained acidic soil. It is also useful for low-fertility planting schemes and can provide valuable early-season nectar for pollinating insects.
