Erica × darleyensis 'Lucie'
Erica × darleyensis 'Lucie' is a vigorous evergreen heather producing large, glowing magenta flowers throughout winter and into early spring. The bright blooms stand out beautifully against the bold dark grey-green foliage, bringing valuable colour to the garden during the colder months.
This variety forms a bushy, spreading mound that provides useful evergreen structure and helps suppress weeds. Its long flowering season makes it ideal for borders, rock gardens, slopes and containers, where the flowers can be enjoyed at close range.
Hardy, adaptable and low maintenance, this heather performs well in a wide range of well-drained soils. Trim back to the base of the flower spikes after flowering in May to encourage a denser, bushier plant.
