Erica x darleyensis 'Kramer's Rote'
Erica x darleyensis 'Kramer's Rote' is a vigorous, evergreen heather prized for its long flowering season and easy-growing nature. Producing masses of small, bell-shaped magenta-pink flowers from autumn through to late spring, it brings months of colour to borders and containers when little else is in bloom. The flowers open pale and deepen as the season progresses, creating a dynamic display against the fine, needle-like foliage.
This reliable variety has pink-tipped new growth in spring and attractive bronze tones in winter. A hybrid between Erica carnea and Erica erigena, it’s one of the toughest and most adaptable heathers, thriving in almost any soil and requiring minimal maintenance. Prune lightly after flowering in May to encourage bushier growth.
