Erica carnea 'Rosalie'
Erica carnea 'Rosalie' is a compact evergreen winter heath producing bright rosy-pink, urn-shaped flowers from January to April. The blooms are held on short, upright stems above dense bronze-green foliage, creating a colourful display when many other garden plants are resting.
Its low, spreading habit makes it ideal for rockeries, banks and border edges, where it gradually forms an attractive carpet. The upright flower stems also make 'Rosalie' particularly effective in patio containers, planted alongside spring bulbs and contrasting heathers for a bright seasonal display.
Hardy, reliable and easy to grow, 'Rosalie' prefers full sun or light partial shade in moist but well-drained soil. It grows well in acidic or neutral conditions and also tolerates alkaline soil. Lightly trim after flowering to maintain its tidy shape and encourage fresh growth.
