Erica carnea f. alba 'Ice Princess'
Erica carnea f. alba 'Ice Princess' is a dwarf evergreen winter heather producing upright spikes of pure white, bell-shaped flowers from February to April. The bright blooms stand out against fine, fresh green needle-like foliage, bringing a clean, crisp display to late winter and spring planting.
Its compact, spreading habit forms an attractive low carpet, making it ideal for rockeries, banks, border edges and groundcover planting. It also works beautifully in seasonal containers alongside spring bulbs and colourful evergreen foliage. Planted in groups, the white flowers create a bright ribbon of colour along paths or through mixed heather displays.
Hardy and easy to maintain, 'Ice Princess' grows best in full sun or light partial shade with moist but well-drained soil. It prefers acidic or neutral conditions and also tolerates alkaline soil. Trim lightly after flowering to maintain its compact shape and neat, leafy growth.
