Erica australis f. albiflora 'Polar Express'
Erica australis f. albiflora 'Polar Express' is an evergreen heather producing elegant spikes of pure white flowers from late winter through spring. The bright blooms stand out beautifully against the fine, needle-like green foliage, bringing welcome colour to the garden early in the year.
Its upright habit makes 'Polar Express' an attractive choice for acid borders, gravel gardens and larger containers. The flowers are also valuable to bees and other early pollinating insects when relatively few other plants are in bloom.
Hardy and easy to grow in the right conditions, 'Polar Express' performs best in a sunny position in acidic, well-drained soil. Avoid alkaline or waterlogged conditions to encourage healthy growth and reliable flowering.
