Elaeagnus x ebbingei 'Limelight'
Elaeagnus x ebbingei 'Limelight' is a resilient evergreen shrub with richly variegated foliage. Each leathery leaf displays an individual pattern of green, golden yellow and cream, providing colour and interest throughout the year.
Small, creamy-white flowers appear among the foliage in autumn and release a rich, sweet fragrance. Although discreet, the flowers provide a useful late-season food source for bees and other pollinating insects.
'Limelight' forms a dense, bushy shrub and responds well to pruning, making it ideal for colourful hedging, screening or growing as a standalone specimen. It performs well in full sun or partial shade and moist but well-drained soil.
