Dierama igneum
Angel's Fishing Rod is an elegant, clump-forming perennial producing delicate pale coral-pink, bell-shaped flowers on long, gracefully arching stems. Its fine green foliage forms an attractive base beneath the gently nodding summer flowers.
Flowering from July to September, Dierama igneum brings height, movement and soft colour to sunny borders and mixed perennial planting. The flowers are also attractive to wildlife and work particularly well in naturalistic and cottage-style gardens.
Best grown in full sun in fertile, free-draining soil, this relatively compact Dierama dislikes wet conditions, particularly during winter. It is suitable for borders, raised beds and containers, and benefits from some protection from the hardest frosts.
