Daphne bholua 'Spring Beauty'
Daphne bholua 'Spring Beauty' is an upright shrub prized for its beautifully fragrant flowers. From late winter into early spring, clusters of pink buds open to white flowers flushed with soft pink, filling the surrounding air with a rich, sweet perfume.
Narrow, leathery dark green leaves complement the delicate flowers and provide lasting structure. Evergreen to semi-evergreen depending on winter conditions, 'Spring Beauty' forms an attractive bushy specimen for sheltered borders and woodland edges. Plant near a path or entrance to enjoy its fragrance up close.
Grow in full sun or partial shade with fertile, moist but well-drained soil. A sheltered position offers protection from cold, drying winds and helps preserve the foliage through winter. Keep pruning to a minimum and choose its planting position carefully, as daphnes dislike being moved once established.
