Cornus alba 'Sibirica' is a striking deciduous shrub grown for its outstanding winter colour and year-round seasonal appeal. Its brilliant scarlet-red stems provide dramatic impact in the winter garden, especially when planted in groups or against a snowy backdrop. In spring, clusters of creamy-white flowers appear, bringing nectar for pollinators, followed by blue-black berries in summer that attract garden birds.
Through summer, the green foliage creates a fresh backdrop for borders, before transforming in autumn to fiery shades of orange and red. Easy to grow and low maintenance, this hardy dogwood thrives in most soils and is especially effective in moist ground. For the best stem colour, cut back hard in spring to encourage vigorous new shoots.
