Colocasia ROYAL HAWAIIAN® ‘Maui Gold’ is a vibrant tropical foliage plant celebrated for its enormous golden-yellow leaves, beautifully contrasted by rich green veins and sturdy dark stems. Its luminous foliage brings a burst of colour to any indoor jungle, conservatory or summer patio, creating an unmistakably exotic display.
Part of the acclaimed ROYAL HAWAIIAN® Collection, this exceptional cultivar has been bred for outstanding vigour, excellent disease resistance and a neat clump-forming habit. The glowing foliage retains its vibrant colour throughout the growing season, making it an ideal specimen plant or centrepiece in tropical planting schemes.

Colocasia Care Sheet
Light: Prefers bright, indirect light or a position with gentle morning sun. Outdoors during summer it enjoys partial shade or full sun with consistently moist soil.
Water: Keep the compost consistently moist during the growing season. Never allow it to dry out completely. Reduce watering in autumn and winter if the plant becomes dormant.
Soil/Nutrition: Grow in a rich, moisture-retentive but well-drained compost. Feed every two weeks during spring and summer with a balanced liquid fertiliser to encourage vigorous foliage growth.
Humidity: Appreciates moderate to high humidity. Increase humidity by grouping plants together or using a humidifier if grown indoors.
Pruning and propagation: Remove yellow or damaged leaves at the base as they appear. Mature plants can be divided during spring by separating the tubers or offsets.
Experience level: Beginner.
