Peperomia argyreia
Peperomia argyreia is a compact houseplant with rounded, fleshy leaves patterned in silver and green, resembling the striped skin of a watermelon. The glossy foliage is held on reddish stalks, creating an attractive contrast and a neat, bushy display.
Ideal for tabletops, shelves and desks, this decorative plant brings detailed foliage to smaller indoor spaces. A warm position with bright, indirect light suits it well, while careful watering helps keep its fleshy roots healthy.

Peperomia Care
Light: Provide bright, indirect light. Protect from strong direct sunshine, which can scorch the leaves, and avoid deep shade.
Water: Allow the top few centimetres of compost to dry before watering. Water thoroughly, then drain away any excess. Avoid leaving the pot standing in water.
Humidity: Moderate indoor humidity is usually suitable. Keep away from radiators; a humidifier can help if the room is particularly dry.
Temperature: Keep in a warm room, ideally around 18–25°C. Avoid cold draughts and temperatures below 10°C.
Feeding: Apply a liquid houseplant fertiliser during active growth, following the product instructions. Reduce or stop feeding when growth slows.
Repotting: Repot in spring when the roots become crowded, using loose, freely draining houseplant compost with added perlite. Choose a pot only slightly larger than the previous one.
Winter care: Water less frequently as growth slows, checking the compost before watering. Maintain good light and steady warmth.
