Cercis canadensis 'Forest Pansy' is a compact, often multi-stemmed deciduous tree prized for its spectacular foliage and elegant seasonal colour. In spring, clusters of small purple-pink flowers appear directly on the bare stems, creating a striking display before the leaves emerge.
The large, heart-shaped foliage opens in a glossy ruby red, gradually deepening to rich purple-plum with hints of green as the season progresses. In autumn, the leaves transform into warm shades of orange, red, yellow and bronze, extending its garden interest well into the later months.
