Caryopteris x clandonensis 'Beyond Midnight' is a compact, bushy deciduous shrub with dark green, glossy foliage and masses of intensely blue flowers. Its neat habit and rich colouring make it an excellent choice for adding late-season interest to sunny borders.
Flowering from late summer into autumn, 'Beyond Midnight' produces clusters of deep blue blooms that are highly attractive to bees, butterflies and other pollinating insects. The flowers stand out beautifully against the darker foliage and provide valuable colour when many other shrubs are beginning to fade.
Best grown in full sun in fertile, well-drained soil, this low-maintenance shrub is ideal for borders, gravel gardens and patio containers. Pruning back in spring encourages strong new growth and helps maintain a compact, tidy shape.
