Brunnera macrophylla 'Jack of Diamonds'
Brunnera macrophylla 'Jack of Diamonds' is a bold foliage perennial with very large leaves heavily overlaid with silver and marked by broad, dark green veins. The leaf bases overlap, creating a rounded outline and a distinctive sculptural effect.
Clusters of small blue, forget-me-not-like flowers appear from mid to late spring. Its broad mound makes an effective focal point in woodland borders, a feature in a large container or generous ground cover in shaded beds.
Grow in partial shade or shade in fertile, humus-rich, moist but well-drained soil. Allow space for the clump to develop and water in dry periods. Remove old foliage in early spring as fresh growth starts.
