Rubus 'Boysenberry'
Rubus 'Boysenberry' is a vigorous, thornless fruiting shrub that combines ease of growth with excellent productivity. In spring, it produces clusters of small white flowers which develop into large, dark purple berries through the summer. The fruits resemble sweet blackberries but with a richer flavour, making them ideal for both eating fresh and for cooking in pies, jams, and desserts.
A self-fertile variety, ‘Boysenberry’ does not require a pollination partner, making it a straightforward choice for gardens of all sizes. Hardy and reliable, it provides a rewarding late-summer harvest of juicy fruits in August.
