Rubus fruticosus × idaeus 'Buckingham Tayberry'
Rubus ‘Buckingham Tayberry’ is a thornless hybrid between blackberry and raspberry, developed to combine the rich flavour of both fruits. It produces large, deep purple-red fruit that are aromatic, sweet yet tangy, ideal for fresh eating or processing (jams, desserts, sauces). It fruits early to mid summer and is a vigorous, healthy plant with good yield.
This cultivar is more compact than traditional tayberries and lacks thorns, making it easier to manage and harvest. It is typically trained like other cane fruit (prune fruited canes after harvest, maintain new canes for next season).
