Light: Prefers bright, indirect light. Avoid direct sunlight, which can scorch leaves and fade colour
Water: Water when the top few centimetres of compost feel dry. Keep evenly moist but never waterlogged. Reduce watering slightly in winter
Soil/Nutrition: Use a free-draining houseplant compost. Feed every 4–6 weeks during spring and summer
Humidity: Enjoys moderate humidity with good airflow. Avoid misting leaves directly to prevent leaf damage
Pruning and propagation: Remove damaged or older leaves to maintain shape. Can be propagated from leaf cuttings or rhizome division
