Begonia maculata 'Silver Spot'
Begonia ‘Silver Spot’ is a striking foliage houseplant with elongated, wing-shaped leaves decorated with distinctive silver spots across a deep green surface. The undersides often carry a rich red tone, adding contrast and depth, while its upright, cane-like growth gives it a bold and elegant presence.
Perfect for bright indoor spaces with indirect light, it works beautifully as a statement plant on shelves or plant stands where its patterned foliage can be fully appreciated. Its architectural shape and eye-catching markings make it a favourite for adding drama to modern interiors.

Light: Needs bright but indirect light, and ideally kept in temperatures above 15°c. Leaf colour will vary depending on light conditions
Water: Water regularly and keep the soil moist, but not soggy. Allow excess water to drain off
Soil/Nutrition: Well-draining houseplant potting mix, feed monthly in spring and summer
Humidity: Enjoys regular misting, or a pebble tray to keep its environment humid
Pruning and propagation: Remove old, faded leaves and flowers, and keep leaves dust free. Can be propagated by stem cuttings in spring and summer
