Astilbe chinensis var. pumila
Astilbe chinensis var. pumila is a compact spreading perennial forming dense clumps of serrated mid-green foliage. In summer, elegant plumes of fluffy rose-pink flowers rise above the foliage, creating a soft haze of colour that brightens borders and containers.
This dwarf Astilbe is excellent for adding texture and colour to smaller garden spaces, rockeries, banks and patio pots. Unlike many Astilbes, it tolerates sunnier positions provided the soil remains moist, making it a versatile and easy to grow choice for a wide range of planting schemes.
