Anemone × hybrida 'Queen Charlotte'
Anemone × hybrida 'Queen Charlotte' is a graceful and much-loved Japanese anemone, prized for its elegant display of soft pink semi-double flowers from late summer into autumn. Each bloom features large, satiny petals surrounding a prominent golden-yellow centre, creating a refined and luminous presence in the garden.
Held on slender, wiry stems above fresh green foliage, the flowers appear to float through the border, bringing height, movement and colour at a time when many other perennials are beginning to fade. Its upright habit makes it particularly effective in the middle or back of borders, where it combines beautifully with ornamental grasses and other late-flowering plants.
Reliable, easy to grow and exceptionally long flowering, 'Queen Charlotte' thrives in sun or partial shade with moisture-retentive soil. It is a classic choice for cottage gardens, woodland edges and informal planting schemes, where its elegant flowers provide valuable late-season interest and attract pollinating insects.
