Acanthus hungaricus is a bold, architectural perennial forming large clumps of deeply cut, glossy green foliage. In summer, it sends up tall spikes of hooded, mauve-pink and white flowers, creating a striking vertical feature in borders.
Perfect for adding structure and drama to planting schemes, it thrives in full sun or partial shade in well-drained soil. Once established, it is drought tolerant and low maintenance, making it ideal for mixed borders and Mediterranean-style gardens.
