Cortaderia selloana 'Pink Feather'
Cortaderia selloana 'Pink Feather' is a striking ornamental grass forming a broad clump of arching dark green foliage. Its bold, spreading habit creates a strong architectural feature and brings valuable height, texture and movement to the garden.
Large, feathery pink flower panicles rise above the foliage from September to November, creating an impressive late-season display. The plumes remain attractive into winter and are particularly effective when backlit by low autumn or winter sunshine.
Best grown in a sunny position in fertile, well-drained soil, 'Pink Feather' is ideal as a specimen plant or for adding impact to large borders and grouped planting schemes. Protect the crown from excessive winter wet and cut back old foliage in February or March before new growth begins.
