Brunnera macrophylla Alchemy™ Silver
Brunnera macrophylla Alchemy™ Silver is a clump-forming perennial with substantial, textured, heart-shaped silver leaves marked by green veins. The bright foliage gives shaded beds a clear highlight throughout the growing season.
Sprays of small blue flowers appear in April and May above the emerging foliage. Its mounding habit suits woodland borders, shaded containers and group planting, where the leaves provide colour and texture after flowering.
Plant in partial shade or shade in humus-rich, moist but well-drained soil. Water during dry spells to maintain even moisture and protect the foliage from strong afternoon sun. The plant is deciduous and rests in winter.
