Wisteria brachybotrys 'Okayama'
Wisteria brachybotrys 'Okayama' is a stunning deciduous climber known for its fragrant, pendulous flower racemes and attractive seasonal foliage. New leaves emerge with bronze tones in spring, maturing to green before taking on golden-yellow hues in autumn.
In late spring, large racemes of lilac-purple, pea-like flowers appear, filling the air with a rich fragrance. This RHS Award of Garden Merit variety twines anti-clockwise and is ideal for training over arbours, pergolas and walls, where its flowers can be fully appreciated. Decorative seed pods follow in autumn, adding further interest.
