Viburnum × hillieri 'Winton'
Viburnum × hillieri 'Winton' is a spreading, semi-evergreen shrub with narrow, glossy green leaves that emerge with attractive bronze tints. Its dense, rounded habit provides valuable structure and foliage interest throughout much of the year.
During June and July, fragrant creamy-white flowers are carried in upright panicles above the foliage. These are followed by small oval fruits that begin red before gradually ripening to black, extending the seasonal display.
In autumn and winter, the foliage develops rich copper-red tones, bringing warmth and colour to borders and woodland-style planting. Hardy and easy to grow, 'Winton' thrives in full sun, partial shade or full shade and performs best in fertile, moist but well-drained soil.
