Trachelospermum jasminoides
Trachelospermum jasminoides is a vigorous evergreen climber valued for its glossy dark green foliage and wonderfully fragrant flowers. Its twining stems provide dense year-round coverage, while the leaves often develop attractive red and bronze tints during winter.
From late spring through summer and into autumn, masses of highly scented white, star-shaped flowers appear above the foliage. The blooms fill the air with a rich jasmine-like fragrance and are highly attractive to bees, butterflies and other pollinating insects.
Ideal for training against a warm wall, trellis, fence or obelisk, this RHS Award of Garden Merit winner thrives in a sheltered position in full sun or partial shade. It performs best in fertile, well-drained soil and is an excellent choice for patios, courtyards and scented garden planting.
