Thymus serpyllum 'Goldstream'
Thymus serpyllum 'Goldstream' is a charming, low-growing thyme variety valued for its attractive gold and cream variegated foliage and masses of pink flowers throughout summer. Forming a dense, spreading mat, it provides year-round colour and texture while releasing a pleasant fragrance when brushed or walked upon.
Ideal for rockeries, raised beds, containers and the front of sunny borders, this drought-tolerant herb thrives in free-draining soil and requires very little maintenance once established. Its colourful foliage creates a bright contrast among other alpine and herb garden plants.
During summer, the nectar-rich pink flowers attract bees and other pollinators, making it an excellent wildlife-friendly addition to the garden. Its compact habit also makes it useful as a decorative ground cover between paving stones and along pathways.
