Thymus serpyllum
Thymus serpyllum, commonly known as wild thyme, is a low-growing, aromatic evergreen perennial that forms a dense, spreading carpet of tiny green leaves. In summer, it becomes covered in clusters of small pink to purple flowers, creating a vibrant display that is highly attractive to bees and other pollinators.
Perfect for rockeries, gravel gardens, between paving stones and sunny banks, this hardy thyme thrives in well-drained soil and full sun. Drought tolerant once established, it is an excellent choice for low-maintenance ground cover with both ornamental and wildlife value.
