Thymus 'Magic Carpet'
Thymus 'Magic Carpet' is a very low-growing evergreen thyme that spreads to form a dense carpet of small, aromatic green leaves. Its close habit is excellent for softening path edges, gravel planting and sunny rock gardens.
Terminal clusters of small flowers in shades of white, pink, mauve and purple appear in summer. The nectar-rich blooms are highly attractive to bees, butterflies and moths.
Hardy and drought tolerant once established, 'Magic Carpet' thrives in full sun and sharply drained soil. It is ideal between stepping stones, over walls, on banks and in containers, and releases its herbal fragrance when the foliage is brushed.
